Using a pemf mat COLD
I always use my pemf mat while my body is warm. I have an infrared mat under my pemf mat (with a soy based waterproof cover). When going on the mat at normal body temperature and a persons partial oxygen pressure is high, the blood vessels are not enlarged like they are when my core is heated up 3 degrees higher. When my body is warm and my blood vessels are dilated, the pemf mat works way more magic when using it warm. Those who have an infrared sauna and then go on their pemf mat will also have a different experience than going on the mat cold due to vasodilation. Going on the mat when there is vasoconstriction is something I avoid.
One of the most common and most important benefits of PEMF therapy is improved circulation. That being said, we think that it’s worth the extra effort to maximize this benefit by prepping your circulatory to receive PEMF. One of our favorite techniques is to first heat your core temperature up by 3 degrees with an infrared blanket. At this point your blood should be be flowing faster and closer to the surface of your skin where it can more efficiently receive the PEMF waves. This can help yield better results than going in cold at a normal heart rate and body core temperature.
I also use a bottle of Boost Oxygen to make sure I get the most out of my pemf session. Those who have use a pemf mat when their pulse oximeter level is low and then they bring their oxygen level up to 99% will know what I am talking about.
I urge anyone who wants to experience their pemf mat on a higher level research this more. Some people even take a hot bath and heat up their core temperature 3 degrees that way. Getting an 8 minute session warm vs cold can be a game changer.
